Beatriz Toscano. Hochschule Düsseldorf. University of Applied Sciences HSD IN-LUST. Institut für lebenswerte und umweltgerechte Stadtentwicklung. She is a Spanish scholar based in Germany. She completed her master’s degree and research at the University of Pennsylvania on the social repercussions of the process of de-industrialization and structural change in the areas of the Rhine and the Ruhr. She received her PhD in philosophy and media studies at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf and was granted a research fellowship at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design. She also served as assistant professor at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. Since 2017 Toscano has been a research fellow at the HSD – Polytechnic University of Düsseldorf and in 2018 she became an academic member of the In-LUST (Institute for sustainable urban development). Her current research and lecturing endeavours focus on the intersection of urban planning and biopolitics. Her recent presentations and publications centre around neoliberal urban planning (SoftPower, 2017), the city at the End of History (Astrágalo, 2018), gender and urban planning (La Invisible, 2017) and precarity (Kadmos, 2017).

Alona Martinez Perez is a Senior Lecturer at the Leicester School of Architecture, De Montfort University. Originally from Spain (Bilbao, Basque Country) she trained as an architect in England and Scotland holding qualifications in both architecture and urban design. This year she is part of the organising committee with an International panel at the Architecture and Humanities Association at the University of Dundee in their annual conference. She is also one of the group of independent advisors of the Architects Registration Board of the United Kingdom where she works on international matters, prescription in the UK and also advices on EU courses between the UK and Europe. She is also external examiner for the Board, and for the University of Huddersfield MA in urban design program. She has completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield with a scholarship award on the subject of «The Architecture of the Periphery» looking at the theory of the periphery in the European city, with a case study in Madrid. She won the PhD Conference bid for AHRA (Architecture and Humanities Research Association) at Plymouth University and has presented over 20 papers and conferences on urban issues. Previous roles include Lecturer in Architecture at Plymouth University (2013-2017) where she was MArch 1 Leader and Head of Subject for Professional Studies, Lecturer in Place making at the University of Ulster (2009-2013) where she was fully responsible for all urban design teaching in the MSc of Planning and Property Development, tutor for architecture at the University of Dundee and a Research Director at the Geddes Institute for the project of cities and regions.

Jorge Minguet Medina. EAM’.  He (PhD MArch, Architect) teaches Architectural Design at the School of Architecture at the University of Málaga. He has also been invited speaker at several masters, repeatedly included the MCAS. His book “(Aspectos de) La Arquitectura después de Bretton Woods” – “(Glimpses from) The Architecture after Bretton Woods”- was recently awarded with the XIV Spanish Architectural Biennal (2018). He is also author of a number of contributions to relevant and international reviews and congresses, as well as member of the research group OUT-Arquias (research on the boundaries of architecture, HUM-853).
His doctoral research “Obliteration in Late-Capitalism’s Architecture”, achieving top qualifications and international mention, moves forward from the aforementioned book in studying the obliterating (erasing, forgetting, misguiding, manipulative) character of the relationships among Late Capitalism and Architecture (or, might be said, the way in which the first shapes the second). He is also an experienced architectural practitioner that has dealt with many different aspects of the profession, excelled as big teams’ leader, and specialized in educational projects.

PhD. “Preservation and rescue of industrial heritage in the urban fabric for the reactivation of citizenship. The case of Andalusian medium cities” (2015), International Mention, U. Seville. (Full-time Academic) Assistant Professor at School of Architecture of Major University, Santiago de Chile (2015 to present) in the Areas of History and Theory of Architecture, Urbanism and Architectural Projects, teaching undergraduate courses, evaluating academic competences, being a member of Title Committees and directing postgraduate thesis. Part-time Professor in Metropolitan Technological University of Chile (2014 to 2017) in the Department of Urban and Territorial Planning. Invited professor (2012-to present) in Chile (Talca, Santiago) and Spain (Sevilla), as well as an external evaluator and member of tribunals of magisterial and doctoral thesis.

Enrique Naranjo Escudero.  Architect (2006) by the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Seville. Master’s Degree (2010) in Sustainable City and Architecture of the University of Seville. PhD. “The dual city in Latin America. Architectural strategies to blur the boundaries of fragmented metropolises. The case of Santiago de Chile” (2017), U. Seville. (Full-time Academic) Assistant Professor at School of Architecture of Major University, Santiago de Chile (2014 to present) in the Areas of History of Architecture, Urbanism and Architectural Projects, teaching undergraduate courses and directing postgraduate thesis. Part-time Professor in Metropolitan Technological University of Chile during 2015. Invited professor in University of Talca, Diego Portales University and the University of Chile. Since 2009, he has led NGNParquitectos architecture studio and, in parallel, he has carried out a research activity associated with the study of the contemporary city since the architectural project.
